It was a blink and bling weekend with Red, Green, and Blue   Workbench   ATtiny45 Buzzer Prototype  

  In honor of Ada Lovelace I spent the day cleaning up code and organizing my Arduino sketches.  

I’m was always loosing these very necessary little pieces of electronica. Without this 10uf 16V capacitor I can’t program my ATtinys! Now I buy them in bulk from Best Price Electronics on eBay because there is no reason not to!   Grey stripe goes to ground!

  Breadboard set up for programing Atmel ATtiny45 to blink four LEDs.    

  When working with Arduino to program ATtinys I use this standard breadboard set up. The right half I use to program and the left side I use to test.   This system allows me to upload the boot loader and code and then quickly test the microcontroller for blink.  

  Whats on my workbench?     One of my favorite circuits! A Maxbotix Ultra Sonic Range Finder, ATtiny45, and a vibrating motor.  

The 8 year old and I had the Borderless faux Arduino board working in no time – once I remembered to change the Arduino platform over to a Lenardo board setting. A neighbor supported a IndieGoGo for Boarderless Electronics and received this $12 USD starter kit, including a faux Arduino board, in the mail. On Sunday afternoon I’ll teach the 8 year olds how to use it and give you a report on the entire kit.
