What I’ve been working on the past few months….embroidery on an electronic prototype board.        

  Stuck between projects so I started stitching.    

  Using conductive thread I stitched a few speaker coils into a plant in my garden. Now I must listen closely……    

  I like to wax my threads before I do any hand sewing. This is especially handy with conductive threads which are generally hairy and tangle easily.   Testing conductive thread from Syscom Metal Clad Fibers. Sewing a straight stitch with the conductive thread as a top thread to test resistance and learn how smoothly the thread feeds thru the eye of the needle.    

  Nine conductive thread speaker coils freshly sewn into Aida cloth.    

  I’ve been using DMC embroidery thread to sew electronic circuit patterns.     Once the circuit is hand stitched with the embroidery floss I add Silverell conductive thread to activate the electronic hardware.      

  3 ply Stainless Steel Conductive Thread on a 75 yard Spool.
