LED Tape has a peel off backing and can be found on amazon or eBay. It generally requires a 12V power supply.   Cut the tape to a specific length at the designated copper terminal markers and connected to a power source.

Velleman solid core prototyping wire in 10 colors from Amazon January 2014.   The variety of colors is useful for prototyping breadboard circuits.   I use my favorite thread snips to strip the jacketing off the wire.
