DMC Memory Thread

 
I purchased a package of DMC Memory Thread from Amazon in hopes that I could use this colorful product as a conductive thread to embroider a circuit.
 

 
Unfortunately the thread’s diameter is too large to smoothly thread thru the eye of a hand sewing needle.

DMC Memory Thread is a wire finely wrapped with a decorative thread covering. In order to use it as a ‘conductive thread’ the fiber covering needs to be stripped away and then electronic components can be soldered to the wire. This is not a product to use in your basic eTextile embroidery work.
