These tombstone shaped LEDs have the positive lead as short and the negative lead as long. This is reversed from the standard markings and therefore makes this product difficult to teach with.
This LED can also be found on dipmicro website.
These 5mm LEDs have an unusual shape in that they are flat on two sides.
